About us

Auto-filled profile (draft)

Certyfere focuses on monetising EREs for charge-point owners with an emphasis on speed and transparency. Business customers choose contracts of one, three or five years with commissions of 20%, 17.5% and 15% respectively — the longer the term, the lower the rate. Payout is by choice, including monthly for those who want quick results; private customers can also cancel monthly. Customers get access to a dashboard with real-time insight and market data, and there are no start-up costs. Participation requires a smart charger that can be read remotely.

Smart charger & MID meter

What is a smart charger?

A smart charger is a charging station that is connected to the internet and can automatically record and report your charging sessions to the provider. This lets the provider see exactly how many kWh were charged and when, and — for some services — steer the charging moment to take advantage of green electricity or lower tariffs. Whether your charging station must also be connected (OCPP, app or cloud) is up to the provider: the NEa only requires that the link with your charging station can be demonstrated — a photo of just a kWh reading is not enough.

A MID meter built into the charging station is mandatory

For ERE registration a MID meter built into the charging station is mandatory (NEa). The MID meter provides an accurate, legally valid record of the charged volume; without a MID meter the kWh cannot be converted into ERE units. The only exception the NEa names is an exclusive allocation point set up by your grid operator, behind which only the charger draws power — rare for home chargers.
