About us

Auto-filled profile (draft)

Zonneplan from Zwolle installs solar panels and also supplies energy through Zonneplan Energie, home batteries and charge points. With the ERE-laadbonus, households redeem the ERE's from their charge point: you register your charge point once in the Zonneplan app, authorise Zonneplan and activate the bonus there, after which Zonneplan registers, sells and pays out the ERE's. According to its own ERE terms, Zonneplan Energie B.V. acts as the ERE service provider itself; Lekkerladen is named as a partner in the service. You need an energy contract with Zonneplan Energie and a charge point with a certified MID meter; this can be a charger of another brand, and not every Zonneplan charger model qualifies. The authorisation runs per calendar year and is not renewed tacitly. The proceeds are settled on your Zonneplan energy bill: according to the product page you choose quarterly or yearly settlement when you sign up, while the terms speak of a yearly payout.

Zonneplan is included in our provider overview but was not on the final list of booking service providers the NEa published (version of 7 Aug 2026). One reason can be that a provider works through a registered booking service provider.

Smart charger & MID meter

What is a smart charger?

A smart charger is a charging station that is connected to the internet and can automatically record and report your charging sessions to the provider. This lets the provider see exactly how many kWh were charged and when, and — for some services — steer the charging moment to take advantage of green electricity or lower tariffs. Whether your charging station must also be connected (OCPP, app or cloud) is up to the provider: the NEa only requires that the link with your charging station can be demonstrated — a photo of just a kWh reading is not enough.

A MID meter built into the charging station is mandatory

For ERE registration a MID meter built into the charging station is mandatory (NEa). The MID meter provides an accurate, legally valid record of the charged volume; without a MID meter the kWh cannot be converted into ERE units. The only exception the NEa names is an exclusive allocation point set up by your grid operator, behind which only the charger draws power — rare for home chargers.
