Miller Energies

About us

Auto-filled profile (draft)

Miller Energies charges 15% commission (excl. VAT) on ERE receipts, without fixed costs, for business and — on request — private customers. Booking happens quarterly; payout typically follows from October of the charging year and no later than 31 July of the following year. According to the provider, charging on self-generated solar or wind power can yield more thanks to a sustainability score of up to 100%, and the site states that retroactive registration over 2026 is possible. Participation requires a MID-certified meter. Product information is otherwise relatively limited.

Smart charger & MID meter

What is a smart charger?

A smart charger is a charging station that is connected to the internet and can automatically record and report your charging sessions to the provider. This lets the provider see exactly how many kWh were charged and when, and — for some services — steer the charging moment to take advantage of green electricity or lower tariffs. Whether your charging station must also be connected (OCPP, app or cloud) is up to the provider: the NEa only requires that the link with your charging station can be demonstrated — a photo of just a kWh reading is not enough.

A MID meter built into the charging station is mandatory

For ERE registration a MID meter built into the charging station is mandatory (NEa). The MID meter provides an accurate, legally valid record of the charged volume; without a MID meter the kWh cannot be converted into ERE units. The only exception the NEa names is an exclusive allocation point set up by your grid operator, behind which only the charger draws power — rare for home chargers.
