About us

Auto-filled profile (draft)

Laadpremie keeps it simple for private users: the customer keeps 80% of the proceeds and Laadpremie charges 20% commission. Participation is free and if there are no proceeds you pay nothing. Certificates are sold quarterly, with payout in the following month — although the general terms mention 'as a rule every six months', so ask which term applies. A smart charge point is not required; a MID meter is. Mid-term cancellation is not possible in the first contract period and a business offering is missing from the website.

Smart charger & MID meter

What is a smart charger?

A smart charger is a charging station that is connected to the internet and can automatically record and report your charging sessions to the provider. This lets the provider see exactly how many kWh were charged and when, and — for some services — steer the charging moment to take advantage of green electricity or lower tariffs. Whether your charging station must also be connected (OCPP, app or cloud) is up to the provider: the NEa only requires that the link with your charging station can be demonstrated — a photo of just a kWh reading is not enough.

A MID meter built into the charging station is mandatory

For ERE registration a MID meter built into the charging station is mandatory (NEa). The MID meter provides an accurate, legally valid record of the charged volume; without a MID meter the kWh cannot be converted into ERE units. The only exception the NEa names is an exclusive allocation point set up by your grid operator, behind which only the charger draws power — rare for home chargers.
