About us

Auto-filled profile (draft)

Laadnet uses a clear split model for private users: the customer keeps 80% of the ERE proceeds, Laadnet 20%. There are no subscription or registration fees; only guest-charging settlement carries a separate rate of €0.35 per transaction. There is a choice of flexible and annual contracts with a mandate of at least twelve months, and a user portal shows charged kWh and accumulated EREs. Payout is quarterly; the first payment covering charging year 2026 follows in the first quarter of 2027. Participation requires a charging station connected via the Laadnet cloud with MID-certified metering. The service targets smaller volumes.

Smart charger & MID meter

What is a smart charger?

A smart charger is a charging station that is connected to the internet and can automatically record and report your charging sessions to the provider. This lets the provider see exactly how many kWh were charged and when, and — for some services — steer the charging moment to take advantage of green electricity or lower tariffs. Whether your charging station must also be connected (OCPP, app or cloud) is up to the provider: the NEa only requires that the link with your charging station can be demonstrated — a photo of just a kWh reading is not enough.

A MID meter built into the charging station is mandatory

For ERE registration a MID meter built into the charging station is mandatory (NEa). The MID meter provides an accurate, legally valid record of the charged volume; without a MID meter the kWh cannot be converted into ERE units. The only exception the NEa names is an exclusive allocation point set up by your grid operator, behind which only the charger draws power — rare for home chargers.
