About us

GridCredits is an NEa-registered booking service provider (inboekdienstverlener) for ERE certificates, serving both private individuals with a home charging station and businesses with charging points or a fleet. We convert your charged kilowatt-hours into ERE certificates and handle the entire process for you: registration, connection and quarterly payout. No sign-up fees, a clear all-in rate and personal support when connecting your charger. You can also lower your rate through our referral programme: for private individuals it drops from 19% to 15%. Earning from your charging energy, made simple and transparent.

Message from the team

We believe earning from your charger should be simple and honest. That is why we take care of the hassle for you, keep our rates competitive and are always personally available for your questions. Welcome to GridCredits.

832 ERE × €0.4075€339.04
Market costs (1.5%)− €5.09
This provider’s commission (19%)− €63.45
Net per year€270.50

An estimate, not an offer: what you earn depends on your consumption, your meter readings and the price at the time of payout. The price used is published with its reference date and source on ERE price

Smart charger & MID meter

What is a smart charger?

A smart charger is a charging station that is connected to the internet and can automatically record and report your charging sessions to the provider. This lets the provider see exactly how many kWh were charged and when, and — for some services — steer the charging moment to take advantage of green electricity or lower tariffs. Whether your charging station must also be connected (OCPP, app or cloud) is up to the provider: the NEa only requires that the link with your charging station can be demonstrated — a photo of just a kWh reading is not enough.

A MID meter built into the charging station is mandatory

For ERE registration a MID meter built into the charging station is mandatory (NEa). The MID meter provides an accurate, legally valid record of the charged volume; without a MID meter the kWh cannot be converted into ERE units. The only exception the NEa names is an exclusive allocation point set up by your grid operator, behind which only the charger draws power — rare for home chargers.
