About us

Auto-filled profile (draft)

Emissioo is a young ERE platform from Utrecht that takes the administration around ERE's off charge-point owners' hands. Emissioo does not book itself: the platform is your point of contact and collects your consent, while the official registration with the NEa is done by its partner Drive-Green B.V. To read out the charging data, Emissioo works with Blue Current. The service is aimed at private owners with a home charger and an energy contract in their own name, at businesses with one or more charge points and at owners' associations (VvE's). Your charger needs a certified MID meter; you can check this on the website beforehand. You give Emissioo exclusive consent for a term of your choice, and the proceeds are paid out once a year, after the ERE's have been validated and sold.

Status on ERE-Vergelijk

Emissioo is included in our provider overview but was not on the final list of booking service providers the NEa published (version of 7 Aug 2026). One reason can be that a provider works through a registered booking service provider.

Smart charger & MID meter

What is a smart charger?

A smart charger is a charging station that is connected to the internet and can automatically record and report your charging sessions to the provider. This lets the provider see exactly how many kWh were charged and when, and — for some services — steer the charging moment to take advantage of green electricity or lower tariffs. Whether your charging station must also be connected (OCPP, app or cloud) is up to the provider: the NEa only requires that the link with your charging station can be demonstrated — a photo of just a kWh reading is not enough.

A MID meter built into the charging station is mandatory

For ERE registration a MID meter built into the charging station is mandatory (NEa). The MID meter provides an accurate, legally valid record of the charged volume; without a MID meter the kWh cannot be converted into ERE units. The only exception the NEa names is an exclusive allocation point set up by your grid operator, behind which only the charger draws power — rare for home chargers.
