About us

Auto-filled profile (draft)

EEVY is a new ERE service of Panoptis B.V. from Amsterdam that registers the charging power of private and business charge points, sells it and pays out the proceeds. Under its own terms, EEVY acts as the ERE service provider itself. EEVY connects to your charger or charging back end, bundles the registered volume with that of other participants and sells it; using a photo of the type plate, EEVY checks the brand, the model and the MID meter beforehand. Private users sign up with a digital authorisation; businesses, property owners and owners' associations (VvE's) register all their connections with one authorisation and receive a report per charge point. The authorisation runs per calendar year and is not renewed tacitly. The proceeds are paid into your account after the sale, but the website and the terms disagree on the rhythm: the website speaks of monthly payouts, the terms of quarterly settlement.

Status on ERE-Vergelijk

EEVY is included in our provider overview but was not on the final list of booking service providers the NEa published (version of 7 Aug 2026). One reason can be that a provider works through a registered booking service provider.

Smart charger & MID meter

What is a smart charger?

A smart charger is a charging station that is connected to the internet and can automatically record and report your charging sessions to the provider. This lets the provider see exactly how many kWh were charged and when, and — for some services — steer the charging moment to take advantage of green electricity or lower tariffs. Whether your charging station must also be connected (OCPP, app or cloud) is up to the provider: the NEa only requires that the link with your charging station can be demonstrated — a photo of just a kWh reading is not enough.

A MID meter built into the charging station is mandatory

For ERE registration a MID meter built into the charging station is mandatory (NEa). The MID meter provides an accurate, legally valid record of the charged volume; without a MID meter the kWh cannot be converted into ERE units. The only exception the NEa names is an exclusive allocation point set up by your grid operator, behind which only the charger draws power — rare for home chargers.
