Dutch Charge

About us

Auto-filled profile (draft)

Dutch Charge from Oostzaan is a supplier, operator and investor in charging infrastructure for the real-estate sector, and on request also installs public charge points for municipalities. In addition, the company acts as an ERE service provider itself: it handles the whole process from charging data and registration to sale and payout. The service is aimed at property owners, managers, owners' associations (VvE's) and businesses with charge points on their own grid connection, for example at residential complexes, offices, business parks, shopping centres, education, care, recreation and hospitality sites. Dutch Charge checks the location, the grid connection, the charge points and the metering data, prepares the registration and books the charged kWh. You can have the proceeds paid out directly or reinvested, for example in lower service or operating costs or in extra charge points. No rates are published: the process starts with a free check of your ERE potential.

Smart charger & MID meter

What is a smart charger?

A smart charger is a charging station that is connected to the internet and can automatically record and report your charging sessions to the provider. This lets the provider see exactly how many kWh were charged and when, and — for some services — steer the charging moment to take advantage of green electricity or lower tariffs. Whether your charging station must also be connected (OCPP, app or cloud) is up to the provider: the NEa only requires that the link with your charging station can be demonstrated — a photo of just a kWh reading is not enough.

A MID meter built into the charging station is mandatory

For ERE registration a MID meter built into the charging station is mandatory (NEa). The MID meter provides an accurate, legally valid record of the charged volume; without a MID meter the kWh cannot be converted into ERE units. The only exception the NEa names is an exclusive allocation point set up by your grid operator, behind which only the charger draws power — rare for home chargers.
