Belgian Trading & Bunkering

About us

Auto-filled profile (draft)

Belgian Trading & Bunkering (BTB) from Antwerp has supplied marine gas oil and biofuels to seagoing vessels in the port of Antwerp and the ARA region since 1996, with its own bunker vessels, and is part of the family-owned Groep De Wit. The website mentions EREs, registration or charge points nowhere and publishes no commission, rates or sign-up option. For private users and businesses with a charge point this is not a comparable offering.

This text was compiled in August 2026 from public information published by the provider. Something not right? Update it in the provider portal.

Smart charger & MID meter

What is a smart charger?

A smart charger is a charging station that is connected to the internet and can automatically record and report your charging sessions to the provider. This lets the provider see exactly how many kWh were charged and when, and — for some services — steer the charging moment to take advantage of green electricity or lower tariffs. Whether your charging station must also be connected (OCPP, app or cloud) is up to the provider: the NEa only requires that the link with your charging station can be demonstrated — a photo of just a kWh reading is not enough.

A MID meter built into the charging station is mandatory

For ERE registration a MID meter built into the charging station is mandatory (NEa). The MID meter provides an accurate, legally valid record of the charged volume; without a MID meter the kWh cannot be converted into ERE units. The only exception the NEa names is an exclusive allocation point set up by your grid operator, behind which only the charger draws power — rare for home chargers.
