About us

Auto-filled profile (draft)

PYK Power is a business-energy specialist with its own platform technology, aimed at large consumers. The company is registered with the NEa as an ERE service provider but does not publish ERE rates or a contract structure; for smaller users the offering is very limited. Large consumers looking to monetise their charging volume as part of a broader energy contract can get in touch directly for options and current terms.

Smart charger & MID meter

What is a smart charger?

A smart charger is a charging station that is connected to the internet and can automatically record and report your charging sessions to the provider. This lets the provider see exactly how many kWh were charged and when, and — for some services — steer the charging moment to take advantage of green electricity or lower tariffs.

A MID meter is almost always required

Regardless of whether the charger is smart or not, an MID-certified meter is almost always required for ERE. The MID meter provides an accurate, legally valid record of the charged volume. Without an MID meter, the kWh cannot be converted into ERE units. The only exception the NEa names is an exclusive allocation point set up by your grid operator, behind which only the charger draws power — rare for home chargers.
