Auto-filled profile (draft)

Peblar is the charge-point brand of Prodrive Technologies from Son near Eindhoven, which develops and manufactures AC charge points for homes, businesses and white-label partners; the Home Plus and Business models have a built-in MID-certified kWh meter and thus meet the metering requirement of the ERE scheme (the Peblar Home does not). The company is registered with the NEa as an ERE service provider but does not offer a filing service itself: according to its own FAQ the ERE payment cannot be claimed via Peblar, and registration and payout run through a filing service provider of choice — there is a direct API link with Lekkerladen and Peblar says it is in talks with more providers. There is accordingly no commission, rate or sign-up page. Peblar owners compare here the filing service providers that support their model. More information will appear here once the provider claims its profile.

Smart charger & MID meter

What is a smart charger?

A smart charger is a charging station that is connected to the internet and can automatically record and report your charging sessions to the provider. This lets the provider see exactly how many kWh were charged and when, and — for some services — steer the charging moment to take advantage of green electricity or lower tariffs.

A MID meter is almost always required

Regardless of whether the charger is smart or not, an MID-certified meter is almost always required for ERE. The MID meter provides an accurate, legally valid record of the charged volume. Without an MID meter, the kWh cannot be converted into ERE units. The only exception the NEa names is an exclusive allocation point set up by your grid operator, behind which only the charger draws power — rare for home chargers.
