Linthorst FlexPower

About us

Auto-filled profile (draft)

Linthorst Flexpower from Apeldoorn is the energy and flexibility arm of the Linthorst group (since 1978): it controls batteries, generation assets and flexible demand of business customers for energy trading, congestion management and grid balancing, and is certified for this as BRP, CSP and — since July 2026 — BSP. The company is registered with the NEa as an ERE service provider under the name Linthorst FlexPower B.V., but the website mentions EREs, registration or charge points nowhere and publishes no commission, rates or sign-up option. Units are presumably registered within its own business energy projects. Companies working with Linthorst can ask directly about the options; for private charge-point owners this is not a comparable offering. More information will appear here once the provider claims its profile.

Smart charger & MID meter

What is a smart charger?

A smart charger is a charging station that is connected to the internet and can automatically record and report your charging sessions to the provider. This lets the provider see exactly how many kWh were charged and when, and — for some services — steer the charging moment to take advantage of green electricity or lower tariffs.

A MID meter is almost always required

Regardless of whether the charger is smart or not, an MID-certified meter is almost always required for ERE. The MID meter provides an accurate, legally valid record of the charged volume. Without an MID meter, the kWh cannot be converted into ERE units. The only exception the NEa names is an exclusive allocation point set up by your grid operator, behind which only the charger draws power — rare for home chargers.
