Groen Goud Biervliet

About us

Auto-filled profile (draft)

Groen Goud Biervliet is a family business in Zeeuws-Vlaanderen that operates a fast-charging station on the N61 with nine connections up to 480 kW for trucks, cars and bicycles, powered by around 7,000 of its own solar panels, alongside a kiosk and farm vending machines. It is registered with the NEa as an ERE service provider — almost certainly to register the charging electricity of its own station — but offers no ERE service to other charge-point owners: the website lists only charging tariffs for visitors and no commission, terms or sign-up option. For private users and businesses with their own charge point this is therefore not a comparable offering. More information will appear here once the provider claims its profile.

Smart charger & MID meter

What is a smart charger?

A smart charger is a charging station that is connected to the internet and can automatically record and report your charging sessions to the provider. This lets the provider see exactly how many kWh were charged and when, and — for some services — steer the charging moment to take advantage of green electricity or lower tariffs.

A MID meter is almost always required

Regardless of whether the charger is smart or not, an MID-certified meter is almost always required for ERE. The MID meter provides an accurate, legally valid record of the charged volume. Without an MID meter, the kWh cannot be converted into ERE units. The only exception the NEa names is an exclusive allocation point set up by your grid operator, behind which only the charger draws power — rare for home chargers.
