About us

Auto-filled profile (draft)

Drive-Green from Hengelo is a consultancy that specialised early in the Dutch market for renewable fuel units and emission reduction units. The company focuses on sustainable mobility and guides clients in monetising their charging volume. There is no public rate structure or standard contract: rates, lead times and payout frequency are agreed per client. Public product information is limited, so requesting a quote directly is the designated route to compare the offering with parties that do publish their rates.

Smart charger & MID meter

What is a smart charger?

A smart charger is a charging station that is connected to the internet and can automatically record and report your charging sessions to the provider. This lets the provider see exactly how many kWh were charged and when, and — for some services — steer the charging moment to take advantage of green electricity or lower tariffs.

A MID meter is almost always required

Regardless of whether the charger is smart or not, an MID-certified meter is almost always required for ERE. The MID meter provides an accurate, legally valid record of the charged volume. Without an MID meter, the kWh cannot be converted into ERE units. The only exception the NEa names is an exclusive allocation point set up by your grid operator, behind which only the charger draws power — rare for home chargers.
