About us

Auto-filled profile (draft)

bQurius from Schipluiden is a consultancy for (greenhouse) horticulture that takes care of energy, HR, finance, BI, technology and marketing for horticultural businesses; its energy department runs 24/7 energy management, from controlling CHP units and heat pumps to trading on the APX and intraday markets. The company is registered with the NEa as an ERE service provider under the name bQurius B.V., but the website mentions EREs, registration or charge points nowhere and publishes no commission, rates or sign-up option. Units are presumably registered for its own horticultural clients as part of energy management. Horticultural businesses already working with bQurius can enquire directly; for private charge-point owners this is not a comparable offering. More information will appear here once the provider claims its profile.

Smart charger & MID meter

What is a smart charger?

A smart charger is a charging station that is connected to the internet and can automatically record and report your charging sessions to the provider. This lets the provider see exactly how many kWh were charged and when, and — for some services — steer the charging moment to take advantage of green electricity or lower tariffs.

A MID meter is almost always required

Regardless of whether the charger is smart or not, an MID-certified meter is almost always required for ERE. The MID meter provides an accurate, legally valid record of the charged volume. Without an MID meter, the kWh cannot be converted into ERE units. The only exception the NEa names is an exclusive allocation point set up by your grid operator, behind which only the charger draws power — rare for home chargers.
